TWO passenger planes collided late on Monday on an airport runway in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, an airline spokesman said, causing minor damage but no injuries to passengers. A Batik Air plane carrying 49 passengers and seven crew was taking off from Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma airport when it clipped a TransNusa plane being towed across the runway. Andy Saladin, a spokesman for Lion Air Group, said the pilot aborted the takeoff of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft to ensure the safety of those on board. “All the passengers and crew are safe, and will be flown using a replacement aircraft,” Saladin said in a statement.

Alopecia areata, a disease of the body that causes hair loss, affects approximately two million Americans. Alopecia areata causes patchy hair loss. Two other forms of this disease are Alopecia totalis and alopecia universalis. Alopecia totalis is the condition that causes the loss of hair over the entire scalp; Alopecia universalis is when the condition of hair loss spreads over the entire body, even including eyebrows and eyelashes.





Although the causes of Alopecia areata are unknown, there is evidence that it could be a breakdown of the immune system resulting in what is called an autoimmune disorder. This is when the immune system thinks that the hair follicle is a foreign body, and attacks it. There is also the possibility that heredity plays a factor, because studies have shown that for one out of five people with alopecia areata, someone else in the family also had it. Ongoing research will help to discover the causes of alopecia areata, so that better treatments can be used.

Anju Panta is a Nepali ghazals and playback singer. Having lent her voice to popular numbers like the title song of Ma Timi Bina Marihaalchhu, Bhun bhun bolyo bhamara of Saput, Dil yo mero dil in Kismat, and Sustari sustari mannma for Darr, Anju has sung for 18 films and more than 100 Nepali melodious songs both in duets and solos. After divorce Anju Panta has changed her religion from Hindu to Christianity.She was widely criticized on Nepali social media after the news published on online newspapers on Sep 5, 2014 saying that she refused to sing a festival greeting song because there was mention of Hindu deities in the lyrics. Seyagerd, April 5: At least 6 people have been killed and several injured in the suicide blast that occurred near a high school in Afghanistan. The suicide car explosion took place in Seya Gerd city of Afghanistan’s Parwan province. According to local media reports, heavy casualties are feared as the suicide blast left several dead in critically injured.The district governor confirmed that at least 6 have been killed so far in the suicide car bomb blast near a high school in Seyagerd district. Rescue operation in under-way and injured people are being taken to hospitals. No terror group has claimed the responsibility of the attack. The target of the attack has not been ascertained so far.

A Chinese construction company is claiming to be the world’s fastest builder after erecting a 57-storey skyscraper in 19 working days in central China.
Broad Sustainable Building, a prefab construction firm, put up the rectangular, glass and steel Mini Sky City in the Hunan provincial capital of Changsha, assembling three floors a day using a modular method, the vice-president, Xiao Changgeng, said.
The company now has ambitions to assemble the world’s tallest skyscraper, at 220 floors, in only three months.

The rectangular, glass and steel building has 19 atriums, 800 apartments and office space for 4,000 people.

On the heels of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reinvigorated regional diplomacy, representatives from the Indian and Nepali survey offices sat down this week in Kathmandu, Nepal to work out border disputes that have risen as the frontiers between the two countries become increasingly blurry. India’s commitment to keep an open and accurate border is another indicator of Modi’s interest in regional security. Modi’s attaché arranged the talks when they visited Kathmandu in August.The two countries are revisiting the issue after seven years. The previous mandate, which was in effect from 1981 to 2007, saw the countries settle 97 percent of border discrepancies using modern technology. The topic of the border with India is a hot-button issue in Nepal; many feel that the current border does not protect Nepali sovereignty. There are a couple swathes of land that both countries claim.

The Airlander 10, pictured, is the biggest aircraft in the world at 100 yards. The Airlander 10 is "part plane, part helicopter," and after more than three years of hard work, the engineers are putting the final touches on the world's largest flying machine. The Airlander was originally developed as a part of a U.S. Army project, but was dropped by the higher-ups in 2012 and it is now being converted into a business that offers leisure flights from a hangar in England's Cardington, Bedfordshire. The 300-foot-long vessel was filled with 1.3 million cubic feet of helium during a test run in October and the engines and fins are being fitted before the aircraft's first flight with its new specifications next month. The exact date for its flight has yet to be announced, but the craft will be restricted to flying within a 70-mile radius. "It's very satisfying for the team and me to get another milestone under our belts. We're hugely excited about the forthcoming Airlander First Flight this year," Mick Durham, Hybrid Air Vehicles' Technical director said in a press release. If the flight is successful, this prototype will then go into production. This model alone is worth $1.1 billion and has fairly complex flight systems. The Airlander produces 60 percent of its lift aerostatically (because it is so light) and 40 percent aerodynamically (because of its wing-shape, as well as having the ability to rotate its engines). These features allow the craft to hover as well as land on nearly any surface, including water, desert, and ice. With anything this large, it doesn't move very quickly (cruising speeds at 90 mph), but it can stay in the air for two weeks at a time and reach heights of 20,000 feet with a 10-tonne cargo.

Birgunj is a metropolitan municipality and border town in Parsa District in the Narayani Zone of southern Nepal. A meeting of top leaders of the Nepali Congress has decided to move ahead after amending the party's statute before its election of parliamentary party leader and working committee. During the meeting held at the residence of senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel at Boharatar on Wednesday, the leaders took the decision in this regard, said leader Bimalendra Nidhi. The meeting also decided to call parliamentary party meeting on April 4. Present on the occasion were President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Poudel, leaders Gopalman Shrestha, Bimalendra Nidhi and Purna Bahadur Khadka.
